Germany has become the latest country to diagnose an unknown new mutation of the coronavirus. The latest mutation has been identified in the group of patients recently infected and admitted to the Bavaria hospital. As per the local news outlet BR24 a total of 35 patients out of the 73 are infected with this mutated variant and are under observation in the Bavarian ski town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, southeast Germany.
The samples of the patients are being observed a the Charite university hospital in Berlin. As of now the researchers has clarified that the variant is different from the earlier discovered variants in UK and South Africa.
The medical authority has also clarified that until now there is no understanding about the nature of the virus that the mutation has made it more transmissible like that of Britain and South Africa or more deadly.
