According to the study, a new version of coronavirus has been identified to spread from Europe to the United States. The spread of the disease is much faster than the earlier version of the disease.
According to the study the G614, the mutated version of the virus, first emerged in Europe in the month of February and replaced the earlier one i.e. D614. The study has revealed that at present there are more G614 viruses circulating in the human body globally.
If we talk about nations, European countries are the ones which have been affected most by the virus. The top 10 list of the countries still consists of Italy, Spain, France, and the United Kingdom. The US still remains the most affected region with around 2.7 million affected cases, due to coronavirus and has witnessed around 1,28,000 deaths.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the number of coronavirus recorded cases around the world is about 10.8 million.
