PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile lite will no longer be available for the Indian gamers, as the company has shut down its services from the 30th October itself. The company in a statement officially cleared the news of winding up its operations in the country. It is to be noted that though the Indian government from September 2nd onwards officially banned the game under section 69A of the Information Technology Act, but the online gamers could still play it.
The China based owner of the game Tencent Games thanked their Indian fans for their love and support throughout the journey and mentioned their grief for the outcome. The company said, “protecting user data has always been a top priority and we have always complied with applicable data protection laws and regulations in India. All users’ gameplay information is processed in a transparent manner as disclosed in our privacy policy”.
Earlier PUBG Corporation has announced to breakup their partnership with the Chinese firm and to work closely with the Indian government to resolve the issue.
