According to the data released by the government, the supporters of Donald Trump, like Megachurches and other religious organisations have ratified the millions of dollars forgivable loans.

Those who were approved for the loan from the government relief fund included Dallas megachurch, Florida church, and Christian-focused nonprofits.

Micah Schwartzman said as quoted, “The notion of separation of church and state is dead, and the PPP loan program is the evidence of that. The money is going to fund the core activities of many organisations, including religious organisations. That’s something we’ve not seen before.”

The Paycheck Protection Program was launched on 3rd April and allowed the small businesses and those individuals hurt due to pandemic, to go for the forgivable loans.

The organisations approved for the loans, include 88,400 small businesses. The data shows the list of those who received the amount of $150,000 and $300,000. The ones which received less than $150,000 are not included in the list. Some of the religious organisations received the amount between $5 million and $10 million. This list includes two megachurches: Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois, and Life Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.

The data about the received amount broke down into five ranges $150,000 to $300,000; $350,000 to $1 million; $1 million to $2 million; $2 million to $5 million; and $5 million to $10 million.
