The new counting method that came into effect, records 881,000 new unemployment claims. According to the new counting that took place last week in America, for the first time in history, such a large number of people file for unemployment insurance benefits. The reason behind rise in the number of unemployment cases is said to be the pandemic prevailing worldwide. As per the metrics, jobless claims by the end of August came out to be 881,000, which was initially expected to be around 950,000. Most of the states reported a decline in the weekly unadjusted claims, that was led by Florida, which saw a decline by more than 12,000 figures.
