The review petition filed to delay the conduct of NEET UG and JEE mains 2020 exam on the scheduled date has been dismissed by the Supreme Court of India. The Cabinet Ministers of Six States which included Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Punjab and Chhattisgarh filed the petition for the review on the decision taken by the central government dated August 17 to conduct NEET UG and JEE mains 2020 exam in the month of September. Earlier this week the National testing agency (NTA) has notified that the exams will be conducted as per revised schedule on 13 September and 16 September respectively. This year nearly 9.53 lakh students has applied for the JEE mains 2020 exams and in case of NEET UG the number of students is nearly 15.97 lakhs.
