PM hints China while inaugurating the new Supreme Court building

Speaking at the joint digital inauguration of the the new Supreme Court building in Mauritius along with the Mauritian counterpart PM Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, PM Narendra Modi hinted at the Chinese stating that, ” India’s development cooperation does not come with any conditions. It is not influenced by political or commercial considerations“.

Highlighting India’s human centric approach of development PM Modi stated, “History has taught us that in the name of development partnerships, nations were forced into dependence partnerships. It gave rise to colonial and imperial rule. It also gave rise to global power blocks and humanity suffered.”

PM Modi also quoted the Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of “service to humanity” stating, “India is making development partnerships that are marked by respect, diversity, care for the future, and sustainable development. For India, the most fundamental principle in development cooperation in respecting our partners. This sharing of development lessons is our only motivation“.

Under India’s grant assistance of $30 million the Supreme Court Building has been inaugurated within the capital city of Port Louis. During his address PM Modi also pointed out the India’s infrastructure development projects in the countries like Afghanistan, Niger, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Nepal.
