The situation of the global pandemic Covid-19 worsened in the nation as the steepest single-day jump in active cases were recorded.
The increase of 15,968 new cases in the last 24 hours was reported by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday morning. This has led to a disturbing rise in the country’s Covid-19 cases as the tally jumped to 456,183 cases and 14,476 unfortunate deaths due to the 465 single-day rise in the number of patients who succumbed to the pandemic.
The recovery rate however stood at 56.7 percent taking the tally of total patients recovered to 2.58 lakh cases. This has been possible due to the commendable and dedicated efforts of the health workers and government agencies.
On a brighter side, the per day testing capacity reached a yet another newer height with a total of 2,15,195 samples getting tested on Tuesday. This has taken the total of tests performed in the nation to 73,52,911 samples since the beginning of the spread of the pandemic.
However the biggest positive came from the day of the claim of Patanjali to having found a cure for the novel Coronavirus as the internationally famous Yoga guru Baba Ramdev asserted that his Coronil and Swasari medicine can cure the infection.
Even though the ministry of AYUSH has not confirmed anything yet but the claim comes as a ray of hope not only for the nation but for the world who have long understood the power of Ayurveda and Yoga.
