Big relief to farmers, as they got Rs.6000 in their accounts. Around 8 Crore farmers are benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana. Amidst COVID-19, this Scheme has brought solace to the farmers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, himself has transferred electronically around 17,100 crores to the accounts of the farmers. This amount has been transferred directly to the Aadhaar authenticated beneficiaries account. It has been done to increase the convenience and to curb the leakage of the amount. Under this scheme, more than 9 crore farmers have registered themselves between December 2018 to November 2019. This can prove to be a big support to the farmers who have suffered due to the pandemic.
