In a recent achievement, IGCAR has successfully developed Spin- off tech to be applicable in various fields such as healthcare, water management, defence and agriculture. The Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), located in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu will be exchanging the Intent of MoU to pass on the developed tech for its commercial use.
The technologies include Thermal Imaging technology, Portable Air volume sampler, Ionising radiations in agriculture and Autonomous Gamma Dose Logger. The ICAR generally signs non-exclusive MoUs with the interested firm with the onetime tech transfer fee of Rs 5 lakh along with the provision of some shares in the profit earned by the firm.
