China is preparing to launch an antitrust probe on Google. The investigation is to be done on the last year’s request of Chinese tech company Huawei. It is to be noted that, when President Donald Trump blacklisted the company in the US in May 2019, Google blocked its services like Android updates and Gmail on Huawei phones. The probe would examine whether Google has misused his dominance to cause the damage to the Chinese firms. As per latest reports, the case has been submitted for the review by the top market regulators to the country’s State Council antitrust committee. Moreover, the pace of investigation in the coming time is said to depend on the relations between China and the US.
