On Wednesday, the official figures showed that due to pandemic the borrowing of Britain Government in the first half of the financial year was six times more than that of pre Covid pandemic spread. The public debt has reached such a level after a long time since 1960. According to the reports, the debt of the September month alone is 36.101 billion pounds, which has made the public debt reach, 2 trillion pound mark or nearly 103.5% of the GDP. In August Britain’s Office for Budget Responsibility, predicted that the borrowing is expected to reach 372 billion pounds i.e nearly 18.9% of the GDP by the end of the financial year.
