On Friday night, the 47th Daytime Emmy Awards made its way after a long struggle during the time of the pandemic. After around five years, this year the Daytime Emmys returned to TV and was broadcasted on the TV since 2011, for the first time.
The best daytime drama winners include:
The Young and the Restless marked the win 8th times, which dominated the tally.
Good night: “Jeopardy”, won the title of the best game and the best host for the game show was given to Alex Trebek.
The best informative talk show was bagged by The View.
The best entertainment show host was given to Kelly Clarkson, Entertainment Tonight bagged the award for entertainment news, and for entertainment talk show the award was given to Ellen.
Ellen in her speech promised to use her show as a tool for change more actively for her users.
DeGeneres said, as quoted “I have been doing this show for 17 years and we have a few more to go.”
CBS, broadcasted only for 19 categories but soon after that, it released the 24 categories on social media, just after the show.
“The Young and the Restless” (CBS), “Days of Our Lives” (NBC), “General Hospital” (ABC), “The Bold and the Beautiful” (CBS) bagged the win in the outstanding drama series.
