Spanish Government orders the national state of emergency

On Sunday, the Spanish Government declared the national state of emergency including the restriction of free movement of people on the streets of Spain. This will include a strict curfew from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am, that will come into effect from Sunday and will continue for six months. The Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez said that, the leaders of Spain’s 17 regions and autonomous cities will have the permission to set different hours of the curfew; and closing of the regional borders to restrict travelling and limit the gathering of people to six. Sánchez during a nationwide address after meeting with his Cabinet said, as quoted,” The reality is that Europe and Spain are immersed in a second wave of the pandemic. The situation we are living in is extreme.”
