Tata, Jio, Patanjali, and two other to bid for IPL 2020

After Vivo left the sponsorship of the IPL 2020, many other companies have started competing for the title. The companies like Tata, Reliance Jio, Patanjali, and two edutech companies BYJU’s and Unacademy are also bidding to get the sponsorship title of IPL 2020. Vivo acquired the IPL title rights for the period of five years until 2022. The company had agreed to pay Rs.2190 crore or Rs.440 crore per season to the board. Due to the ban on Chinese products in India, the company and BCCI, with mutual consent, decided to discontinue the deal. The IPL this year is scheduled to start in the month of September in the United Arab Emirates.
