On Wednesday, Tata Projects Ltd (TPL) won the project of constructing the New Parliament Building. The new building will be constructed near the old one under the Central Vista redevelopment project. The company was the lowest bidder and won the project at a cost of Rs 861.90 crore. The company was followed by L&T Ltd, who submitted the bid of Rs 865 crore. It is expected that construction will get completed within 21 months. Tata Group informed about the same through a statement that said, “delighted to share TPL is L1 for New Parliament House project“. Along with this Central Public Works Department (CPWD) informed that until the completion of the project the existing Parliament building will continue to function as usual.
