Russia and India may conduct phase 3 trials of Sputnik V

As per reports Russia and India may join hands together to develop and commercialise the world’s first covid-19 vaccine. On 22 August the matter to discuss the manufacturing and trials of the Russian vaccine was discussed by the National expert group on the vaccine of Covid-19. The Russian government has taken a step towards India, to produce and conduct phase trials of Covid-19 vaccine, Sputnik V. According to the sources, the vaccine has been acquired by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, along with the Russian Direct Investment Fund. As informed by the Union Health Secretary of India, Rajesh Bhushan, both the countries are on the initial stage of communication regarding the vaccine, so not much has been informed regarding the same.
