Amid the bustle about the Microsoft planning to deal with the parent company of Tiktok, now comes the news that the company is looking forward to invest $100 million in the Bengaluru-based, a regional social media app, ShareChat. The social media app has around 140 million active users every month and is available in 15 languages. ShareChat is a home grown social media platform available in regional languages. The 4-year-old app became so popular that even Twitter came forward to invest on it. The video-sharing app has crossed around 5 million downloads from google play store in just a week last month. The company rose funding last year in its Series D round.
