For the first time, the decision of unfurling the Indian Flag at New York’s Times Square has been taken. This week, history is going to be created, as the tricolour will be unfurled at the Times Square, also the whole Empire State Building will be illuminated in the shades of tricolour. The decision of unfurling the flag has been taken by the US leading Diaspora group. It is a tribute to The Federation of Indian Associations, which was established in 1970 and will be celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year. The building lighting ceremony will be held on 14 th August.
