Amid fear of coronavirus being out of control till now, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has given its nod to the 29 health and general insurers to carry forward their “Corona Kavach” short-term insurance policies. These policies will be covering the medical expenses for the Covid-19 infected. Their time duration varies from 3.5 months to 9.5 months with an amount ranging from Rs 50,000 to 5,00,000.
