As the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and economic challenges have lead to decrease in demand of the smart-phones consumers, the companies have now revised their production plans for 2020. Despite the situation, 5G remains the priority for almost all of the smart-phones OEMs and are expecting the market recovery by 2022 with 5G smart-phones ruling the 50% of the global market by 2023. For the year 2020, the worldwide smart-phone market downfall of nearly 9.5% is estimated even though second quarter saw better than expected figures. If we look at the developed market most of the channels have set the expectation that the portfolio they carry will be dominated by 5G units by the end of 2020.
