The highly anticipated India’s moon mission Chandrayaan-3 is likely to be launched in 2022. ISRO chief K Sivan while responding to the PTI confirmed the news.
It seems like the covid outbreak has disturbed the earlier schedules of the Indian space missions. The mission Chandrayaan-3 was earlier planned to be launched during the end of 2020 following it was the India’s maiden manned space mission Gaganyaan.
ISRO chief informed that the moon mission would be of same configuration like that of Chandrayaan-2 except the missing orbiter, as the mission will be utilizing the services of the orbiter launched in the Chandrayaan-2 mission.
Speaking on the Gaganyaan mission the chief said that, India aims to launch its first unmanned module in the end of this year, followed by the second unmanned mission and finally the manned mission into the space. Currently four Indian test pilots are undergoing their training in Russia.
