Disengagement starts at the India-China border

As per China’s Ministry of Defense, a consensus has been reached during the ninth round of the military commander level talks between India and China. The border troops of the Indian and the Chinese counterpart has begun the disengagement on the southern and northern shores of the Pangong Lake.

Citing Defense Ministry, the Global times reported the latest development at the border stating the starting of the disengagement process following the consensus made during the ongoing military talks.

The two Asian giants have been engaged in a standoff since the April-May 2020 at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) between the two. The situation at the border became tensed when the Indian side responded with the befitting build-up to counter the Chinese counterpart.
