Apple in its latest product safety notice has warned that the MagSafe technology used within its latest products to enable wireless charging emits greater amount of electromagnetic field as compared to the previous models thus posing a risk to nearby medical equipments.
The devices which concerns the users are the series of iPhone 12, which includes iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Along with these all MagSafe accessories comes under the precautionary devices.
Explaining the direction to use such devices Apple stated, “To avoid any potential interactions with these devices, keep your iPhone and MagSafe accessories a safe distance away from your device (more than 6 inches/ 15cm apart or more than 12 inches/ 30cm apart if wirelessly charging)”. It added, “If you suspect your iPhone or any MagSafe accessories are interfering with your medical device, stop using your iPhone or MagSafe accessories”.
