Apple and Tesla has split up their respective stocks. Apple has said that the stock of the companies will split up into 4:1. The company begins with lower trading cost on per share. Tesla, on the other hand, which is an electric car making company has decided to split the shares into 5:1. Apple has tried to become more accessible to the broader base of investors, whereas Tesla has tried to make stock ownership accessible to employees and investors. This split has led to the division into smaller shares, so the one having 1 Apple share will get 3 more shares and the one having 1 share of Tesla will get 4 more shares. On Monday the stocks of Apple opened at $127.62 and that of Tesla opened at $444.61.
